Every Father Will Give Account

One of my greatest fear in life is to become successful in ministry or business but a failure at home. Ministry can wait. Businesses can stop for a day. But never the family. Its a 24/7 forever thing.

The Eli story
"1Sam. 2:22 Now Eli, who was very old, heard about everything his sons were doing to all Israel and how they slept with the women who served at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting."

One of the shocking moments for parents when they get to heaven will be the accounting for their family, especially for their children.

This is why I spend as much as I can being seen by my kids. My children know best who I am. From the time they were born, 'til present they know my whereabouts and activities (week in week out). Needless to say, I also know theirs.

I know the struggles of my oldest son and my 2 girls. Sometimes, its hard to think they will still have struggles even though they practically grew reading and living the bible, attending church weekly also being homeschooled.

David might have attended 700 (+/-) services in his lifetime. Gabe around 600 (+/-) and Dane around 500 (+/-). That is computing 52 weeks times their age less hospital days after delivery.

But attendance??? Who cares? The devil cares less about this. What he cares about is the heart.

Its always a fight over the
heart.

Parents, let's win the heart. The battle is over what is in their hearts.
Know their heart and passions. Check their life's responses.

Are your kids obedient (total, immediate and wholehearted)?
Do they enjoy your company or are they just forced?
Do you remember sharing good times together? How often in a month?

Prov. 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
